Dan's welly up for it Former child actor Dan Gull has been hotly tipped to join the BBC flagship sunday morning farming programme 'Country File', but when asked whether he had been offered the job he said: "Er...it's...well, not really, no...um. No, no I haven't ... well, yes."
Geography graduate Dan, 22, from Cleethorpes, Lincs, shot to fame in the 1980's playing Paddington Bear's wellingtons, before taking parts in 'To The Manor Born' and more recently starring in 'Ground Force' with the freerange Charlie Dimmock.
Looking like a youthful John Craven, Dan is well adversed to talking shit about tractors and sheep after spending the majority of his life wrapped in sellotape.
Show producer Russell Ling, on loan from the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, Brentwood, Essex, gritted his teeth and thought of England as Dan celebrated his successful application by putting the boot in, at his local, The Clam.
